Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain project momentum
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment
- Manage resource allocation, including personnel, materials, and equipment
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks
- Prepare and submit detailed progress reports to upper management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, preferably in commercial and residential projects
- Proven track record of successfully completed projects within the Chicago metro area
- Proficiency in construction management software and MS Office Suite
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, informed decisions
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to various job sites
